Jenny Yu, MD, FACS, is a healthcare entrepreneur and clinical advisor helping organizations build products and services that will improve the care delivery experience. She’s currently the clinical advisor to VitVio, a health tech company building AI to digitize operating rooms, and Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Yu’s experience bridges most sectors of the healthcare ecosystem, including surgeon, academic, and health tech executive. Most recently she was the Chief Medical Officer for RVO Health, a joint venture including consumer education brands like Healthline Media, Healthgrades; and pharmacy and prevention brands like Optum Perks and Real Appeal. She led the Medical Affairs team and supported the overall organization in areas such as strategy, growth, medical integrity and external speaking opportunities. 

Prior to joining RVOH in 2020, she was a practicing academic clinician with 15+ years experience in research and operation. She is also co-founder of the non-profit, Project Theia, which focuses on education, care, and innovation in facial reconstructive surgeries for global communities. She has a broad interest in innovation, specifically solutions that help patients navigate the complexity of the healthcare systems.

She has engaged in various thought leadership opportunities providing her whole picture perspective of the healthcare industry to broad-ranging topics such as access and adherence, whole-person health, and health literacy. She has spoken at HLTH, MM+M Media Summit, PHM Healthfronts and more.
